The
project Picture Yourself! involved students from three European
countries : Poland, Spain and France, who worked together for a period
of 9 months, from October 2011 to June 2012.
Taking "pictures" as a starting point, the 65 students who took part in this project interacted and collaborated in English about teenage-related topics.
Each step of the project was based on snapshots of their lives produced and created by the students
themselves. These snapshots came in multiple forms: photos, polls, slideshows, videos, audio files,
etc. The students then used their own productions to
examine various aspects of their lives as European teenagers, and reflect on their lifestyles, their backgrounds and
environments, their icons, etc.
The aim of the project was to share and produce together a unique and creative vision, a multi-faceted
picture; to draw a portrait of European
teenagers as seen through their own eyes: both portrait and self-portrait, mirror and two-way mirror.
